suggestions for specimen evergreen

Fredericksburg, VA

I am looking for a specimen evergreen small tree, about 6-8 feet tall and maybe 4 to 6 feet wide. I am trying to find an evergreen that is very "loose" looking, with wide spaces between the branches. Maybe even weeping. A blue/silver color would work best. Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Maybe look at different Chamaecyparis Obtusa cultivars since many grow slow enough to stay within your size limitation. Filicoides is more open in habit. I don't know too many blueish ones except Chamaecyparis Pisifera Boulevard which from what I understand can look pretty bad if not given the right growing conditions. Pinus Longaeva 'Sherwood Compact' might work (a bristlecone variety) since they are slower growing and some have a blueish cast. You can also try a Juniper squamata 'Blue Star' on a high standard. I am still pretty new to conifers so wait until someone with real experience chimes in. Meanwhile you have some stuff to do googles on or go to the American conifer society web site and look at their conifer database section for info on these and countless other cool plants.

I just got a tree I really love. Its dedora Cedar (probably misspelled), cultavar "electric blue". I just fell in love with it at the nursery. Not sure what the size will be, right now its about four feet, don't care what size it will be I LOVE it.
