I get to go weed a bed of some Ginkgo bilibos seedlings. Gonna be an all day job cuz the weeds are so bad, but in exchange I get to get a couple of them. Cool!!! : ) Since I get to pick out the ones I want, what do I want to look for to get a good seedling? These seedlings are about 3 to 4" tall now and the weeds are just about towering them. I don't suppose there is any way at all to tell the difference between a male and a female is there? Seems that with all the scienice out there, somebody would have discovered how to, or have they and I just don't know???
Ginkgo seedlings
Male and female seedlings look exactly alike. You won't be able to tell which is which until they get to be big.
I could be wrong, since there is a lot of science I haven't learned about yet.
Female Ginkgos are great too, just not too near an open window. I grew a bunch of gingkos from seed.
