Last night it got down below freezing & I had no choice but to pick my Datura seeds while they are still green, Does anyone know if they will still get ripe to get seeds from??. I have several to send seeds to & I had to pick these before the frost got them. I know my hardy hibiscus seeds will be OK in this weather because some are not ready to pick. Will the Dat seeds still be OK??.

Saving Datura Seeds
I set my pods out in a cardborad beer flat to dry. If the seeds turn dark, it is usually a good sign that they are mature enough to be viable. You can break the pod open to help them dry. I found that my largest Datura pods split well before they browned. The seeds were great - just a little more drying time before packing them up should do it!
Hope this helps - Daturas are incredibly tough :)
