I noticed this one this morning. Is it good or bad? I didn't hurt it, lol.

It's a Striped Garden Caterpillar oddly enough http://bugguide.net/node/view/34273

Thanks Claypa. I surfed through the B'fly and Moth cats and didn't see that one. That's the one!
I was hoping for a pretty yellow or gold B'fly. LOL I knew it wasn't a Swallowtail.
Thanks again.

Nice shots, there .. Andy P!!

If you're using BugGuide.net .. you can simply enter 'caterpillars' .. in the SEARCH: and can attach a color or even a pattern description. And some times, you can get 'em pegged right away ...

Thanks, Mags. I need all the help I can get with searches.
I spent nearly an hour this week trying to ID a Shadow Darner. I got close but no cigar.
I didn't know about adding specifics to the search.

Also -

After viewing the first batch of pitters available on BugGuide .. just 'click' once more on the same Genus you're viewing .. to (possibly) see more (if more photos or info is available) .. and repeat again. Until it's apparent that you've seen/researched all that BugGuide has in its database/available.
* Can do the same with the 'Family'/etc. to see more.

You can do virtually the same thing .. by continually 'clicking' on each of the lil bug drawings (there, on the left-hand side). Each 'click' will reveal another page of caterpillars, butterflies, and so forth.
