Wow,what a cool little plant,a pond, garden spot with the animal structures for vines to grow on and southwestern designs. I like it!!!

Jackson, SC(Zone 8a)

i have one here in Sc and i know not to mulch this until winter time as tubers will rot. also mine is in part shade as they like their feet cool. they say it can take full sun but the one i have i had to move out full sun into partial shade.

the best way to know is leave it in the sun a few days see how it does if it doesnt like it move it to some shade.

to me these are really a breeding call. i have seen some in full sun and then like mine shade.

these can be drought tolerant. and i have also noticed the ants seem to benefit the plant.

Ah, so that is a tree those flowers are from, I didn't think it a MG vine. I think Susie's flowers are more purple. You guys are gonna look for seeds right? I can grow Susie's and this one you guys have, too!

Ipomoea carnea can have blooms that range from white through various 'pinks' and lavenders...

Ipomoea carnea var.fistulosa has leaves that are more pointed than Ipomoea carnea >but all other features are the same as Ipomoea carnea

Ipomoea carnea var.carnea has a quasi-vining form,but I've never seen one yet...

That is fabulous!! I wonder if we can grow it in central MO, zone 5? I have some pots I could easily put it in and trellises to let it grow up. Regular MGs grow great here.

Pinellas Park, FL(Zone 9b)

Grows like a weed here in Florida. Blooms year round for me. Finally got a few seeds this year but roots easily from cuttings. Gets leggy if not pruned.

I was wondering if anyone knew of other colors in the MG Bush?
