Anybody have any info on this variety of blue spruce and its adaptability to the deep south's climate? Everything I have read say's it adapts to the SE US climate better than any other blue spruce cultivars. Any experience in growing these?
picea pungens 'foxtail'
No southern experience growing but in central IL when it got established, it grew like a weed. I think one year the leader grew 2.5'-3.' They looked a little gangly for a while but shaped up pretty nicely by 10 feet.
Best Regards,
Ernie
I appreciate the info Ernie, thanks.
