Resin

That's a great list and links. Thanks Resin!

What USDA Zone is Kew? I wish I could lookup their collections by origin/region.

Any others? Anyone had luck with Tibouchina 'Athens' or Brazilian/Peruvian/Andean material?

Northumberland, United Kingdom(Zone 9a)

Hi Growin,

Kew is borderline 8b/9a, about the same as where I am for winter, but with somewhat warmer summers (i.e., a slightly more continental climate).

I'm not aware of Tibouchina outdoors in Britain except perhaps in the very warmest zone 9b locations; the species seem to be mostly listed as zone 10.

Resin, there's a cultivar called 'Athens' that I kept coming across years ago that apparently is hardier. I just haven't been able to get it yet to test it.

Some mention Abutilon megapotamicum is hardy here so I'm going to include that. Any vines other than Mandevilla laxa that are 8b from S.A.? The area I'm in has pocket 9a's with mostly 8bs.
