I'm relatively new to butterfly chasing. Lots of small butterflies on my asters today. I'm pretty sure they're some sort of skippers - could anyone confirm this? Tell me if they're all the same? Can you say what skipper(s) they might be? Based on occurence times in Iowa, I'm thinking Fiery Skipper (Hylephila phyleus) and/or Sachem (Atalopedes campestris).
CLOSED: Skippers?
They sure all look like skippers. Check out http://davesgarden.com/bf/go/678/. One of them looks like Broad-winged Skipper (Poanes viator).
Yep, skippers.
