Plumie Pictures - What's Blooming Now

Ventura, United States(Zone 10b)

I probably won't be at the computer tomorrow but will check back to see your pic later. I'm sure it looks great. I think most plumie growers have found that the black plastic nursery type containers work the best for plumies. Hope Depot has them for fairly inexpensive, and some nurseries sell used ones for cheap as well.

I have alot of those black plastic pots here from trees and plants we've bought. I was planning on repotting all of them except the weak one tomorrow, gotta get potting soil among other things. I will post the pic for you and you just reply when you can. No hurry.

Weegy, you may want to consider repotting them in the spring. Root systems usually need some time and warm weather to adjust after transplanting, and nights are getting colder here, and cold/wet soil is a really bad thing for just-transplanted roots. It was good to do for the sick one, but I wouldn't recommend it for the others. I stopped transplanting about a month ago. I would just push the pots against house until spring. Your nighttime lows look about the same as mine: http://wwwa.accuweather.com/forecast2.asp?partner=accuweather&traveler=1&zipcode=91701&metric=0 It's up to you, of course. If you feel that your plumerias are super rootbound and can't wait, then transplanting just one size up with super good drainage and well-draining potting soil are all really important; otherwise, spring is really the best time for repotting and planting.

They aren't rootbound at all, just wanted all the pots to match! So I will wait til spring and push them up against the house for now. I did so want my side yard to look like yours! I don't want to lose any that I have so will take your advice and wait. Clare, you're a genius!
Yup, the nights are definitely getting cooler now, I even have a fire in the fireplace! Thanks so much and will keep you posted. You're a godsend. If you're ever around this area, please let me know, would love to meet you. We get up to Carpinteria a little bit, love to camp at the state beach there and pass right by you. It's been a pleasure getting to know you through this thread and appreciate your knowledge more than you know.
