This little fellow came to the DG Roundup last week...seemed to be looking for a spot to pupate, as it was trying to crawl under the edge of the picnic table as we were taking it's picture.
I don't have a clue, so any help is appreciated.
CLOSED: What cat?
Here's a start: tussock moth larva (family Lymantriinae)

try that link Mel.
I agree with Tussock but I don't know exactly which one
Lisa, my cat has orange 'whiskers' where that one has black ones...I agree with Tussock Moth....that was what first came to mind, but the ones I'm familiar with look like they have little brooms along their backs.
I'll google Tussock Moth cats and see what comes up.
It's a Sycamore Tussock Moth cat. Stands to reason, there is a huge sycamore tree right beside the deck where we found it. There are two generations a year...thus, the late crawling cat.
Spiky hair. Very punk.
