Big fruiting year up here north of the frozen tundra. Basswood, Maples, Spruces and Balsam all gave it up to Mom Nature. In ten years have not sen such a bounty, in a drought year too ( about 1/2 normal rainfall ). Anyway, the Hop-hornbeam ( ironwood ) Ostraya virginiana went along with the big boys and girls and I have seeds aplenty. Don't need anything in return: just an address where to send. D-mail. Ken

Everyone in the midwest should take him up on this offer. That is a great understory tree.
I'd like to have some but I'm not sure how they would do in our heat, being they are from Wisconsin.
