I need a name!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I think this is my 3rd year with this brug and I am in love. This is the darkest it has ever been. Usually it is a much softer apricot. I didn't even know it had a big enough bud to bloom and when I saw it today when I was watering I thought it was on the brug next to it and I was so excited..........I thought I had another double which was darker. Oh well!! LOL

Tangerine Curls.. sooooo beautiful. Kell, my seedling Sexy Lady x Suzanne has huge leaves, but know it will not bloom until next year. I got seeds from you in a contest last year. Some of the others are growing but not quite as fast. Can't wait to see what they do. Elaine

Hooks, TX

Kell, that is a very beautiful flower - has all the things I like in a brug. You have a definite winner here. I love the apricot color and the flair!
Do you get to name it? What is the fragrance like?

This one is a keeper!!!
Thanks for sharing it.

My yard is finally looking good. I have COLOR all over. It has been such a bad summer. If this were spring I would be in great shape.

Last month I had nothing blooming, it was so bland and all I could see were the flaws. Nothing fun to take my eye to it. Now it is alive with color. Not as much as usual at this time, but hey, I will take however much color I can get.

I got sidetracked on the phone half way thru writing my last post.

Oh Elaine, Tangerine Curls is so great. LOL I hope you get some good brugs from those seeds.

Thanks Louise. Yes, I get to name it. LOL. It is mine. I should go out there and smell it. I have no clue. Isn't it funny how I am not into fragrance much at all. I am a very visual person!

And I have some fun things blooming too! Anyone know the name of this one? I am no sure which Aristolochia thi oneis. Anyone know?

Oh that is a wonderful looking shape and color Kell!!!!
I'm about to go to work and will be thinking of a name for her all night long!!! LOL

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Lovely brug.........the colors I see in it remind me of our autumn sunsets that we are having now.

Northeast, WA(Zone 5a)

I think I like the oranges better than the pinks Kell. She' s a beauty!!

Jeanette

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I will be waiting Kin. LOL Thanks Frannie.

I like pink with orange, Jeanette. The combo is my favorite this summer. Esp if I add some lime green to the mix. That is the definition of great gaud. LOL

I am already working on my combo pots for next year. I have graduated from annual pots to mixed perennial pots, so much more fun to make and then look at.

I wish I had a really nice dark orange single that had no suav in her to put on this double apricot.

I have not yet been swept away by double pinks myself. I thought I would be but once the novelty wore off I have got to say I prefer a really good single PINK!

Beautiful Kell. I have had a love affair myself with orange and pinks this year. I did orange gerbera daisies with pink geraniums. I add blue to the mix with plumbago and boy did that set it off. My newest garden is colors of orange, apricot, pink, purple with a little yellow and white added in. One of your pics started it. I can see the pic of yours in my mind but I can't remember the names of the plant. It was an apricot colored rose with a purple flowered vine.

Georgia I like the name "Tangerine Curls".

If you don't mind me adding my own to it, I was thinking "Tangerine Twist". The name just seemed to roll off my tongue.

Such great names!! Thank you all.

Joelle, funny you say that because I had been thinking of Kellifornia Dreaming last year. Didn't the Beach Boys write that song? LOL

All the leaves are brown (I HOPE NOT! LOL)
and the sky is gray.
I've been for a walk
on a winter's day.
I'd be safe and warm
if i was in L.A.
California Dreaming
on such a winter's day!

Stopped in to a church I passed along the way.
Well, I got down on my knees
and I pretend to pray
You know the preacher lights the coal.
He knows I'm gonna stay .
California Dreamin'
on such a winters day!

I have a few pods on her, I used that crazy fun one I got from the SF Arboretum Hetty Kraus and Pure Love and Ruthie becasue she is so orange red. I just put Dorthea on this bloom just for fun!

Summerville, SC(Zone 8a)

How about Tangerine Tickle

Hooks, TX

Since it's a double, the name 'Two to Tango' would seem to fit so well!

I love to come back and just look at this one - it's that special!!!!! Wish I could grow one some day!

Orange Flip , Kellafornia Frills, Orange Frills, Sunburst...... One could go on and on...

I really do like the Tangarine curls too , very fitting:)

What is that orange flower in your second image? I would have never thought to put the orange together with pink but it really is gorgeous!

I would like to be put on the list for some seeds!

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Whatever name you put on it Kell, it is a beauty!

Greensburg, IN(Zone 6a)

Me also kell, for seeds, or even the plant *S*

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

LOL Louise, you have Tuscany on your mind. Have you been recently? I would love to go on a trip there.

I love all the names but Gary's. LOL. I am a nurse and I hate to tell you what image comes to mind when I read his name. ICK! LOL

Oh Bea, I am a gaud gal. I love bold colors and love them together. Purple is even better to pair with orange too. That is Tecoma x smithii also called Orange bells. It is so gaudy it was meant for me. I am going to try to train it as a standard though it is so floppy it might be impossible.

Hopefully I will tons of seeds to share.
