HAHAHAHA Great minds think alike. Thanks Connie for chiming in. You always do a better job of explaining in fewer words. :-)

Thank you Janet for the detailed instructions, yours looks fantastic!......I think I'll do mine over.

Can you show the other side of one of the sides, I don't understand the strap step.
Thanks

I just went out and took the photos of the straps. Hope this will help.

I also took another photo of the butterfly so you could see his body.

Here's a photo showing the leather strips from the skirt. We ended up doing the top of the back and the entire top from those leather strips.

What a fantastic cat house!!! Excellent work indeed!!! I will be showing your photos to my elderly Dad...he likes spending his days out in his workshop...this will give him something to do and benefit me!!!

Thanks TPP. We are purdy proud of it. :)

You know what I was thinking.. reading about the cats falling in the water and then the ants getting in brought this to mind. I remembered someone telling me why my old hoosier kitchen cabinet had little legs. They'd set each one of the legs in a bowl of water to keep the ants out! Evidently they'd fall in the bowl and drown before they got any further.

That is the same principle behind the ant trap that hangs above a humming bird feeder. Don't have any........yet that is. Guess that is my off topic donation for the day! LOL!
