Have PICs now - need tree expert - see Damaged Oak thread
I don't see the other thread, but based upon this photo my reaction is that it's a pretty big wound for a tree that's being transplanted. It wouldn't be quite so bad if the tree was established and vigorous. But if you're thinking of buying it, hold out for a super damage-discount, and good luck.
