Dear Dave's Garden subscribers
I am from Singapore; hot tropical climate
Just got started doing some gardening.
Had a really bad episode of caterpillar (black and white spiky furry ones) infestation nearly wiping out all my flowering plants.
Tried malathion (with no effect!!!)...now trying pyrethrum with some effect
Is Bacillus Thrungesis really effective?
Any other suggestions on how to get rid of these caterpillars?
Caterpillar infestation
Hello,
I'm not familiar with Bacillus Thrungesis, but for my flowering plants I've had really good results with Orthonex Garden Insect & Disease Control.....active ingredients: Acephate 4.00% ; Triforine 3.25% ; Fenbutatin-Oxide (Hexakis) 0.75% . Of course, read the product facts before using....don't want to give you advice that might harm your plants! Good luck!
