Tried this on the Identification forum and was directed here to the experts! Can anyone tell me what kind this is? It's quite a breathtaking blue/indigo color with a nice center, but I didn't plant it. Sort of came up into a butterfly bush where neither was last year....
ID please?
edevenny - Hi...The plant is an Ipomoea purpurea Tall MG and a nice color at that...Looks like one of the numerous Star of Yelta variants > I say variant because it has the blue-ish-purple star, but with the nice white halo in the throat area inplace of any of the more usual fuchia...I'd be interested to trade you for some of the seeds if you would spare a few...
TTY,...
Ron
edevenny ~ very pretty, and it just came up on it's own, aren't you lucky? Best of luck with it and enjoy ~ Sherry
