Not a good picture, but better a picture, at least. . I actually see thta the stripes are black, pale blue, black except for one down the very middle which is one black stripe. Caterpillar is about 3/4 inches long. Anyone have a clue? I don't think it is a monarch unless they come in a variety of patterns.
eeek - "grapeleaf skeletonizer"? doesn't sound good for grapeleaves... They're quite pretty, but I really love my grapevines!

That is it and it is skeletonizing my grape leaves as well.
