Hi. I'm new to Dave's Garden.
Does anyone have recommendations for good arborists in the South-of-Boston area (preferably with knowledge about/respect for native trees)?
I don't know if this request is too commercial for site rules; if it's not allowed to post about discuss specific businesses are off-list recommendations possible?
Thanks,

arborists south of boston?
Welcome aboard!
You might contact your local extension office for a list of ISA-certified arborists in your area. Failing that, try the ISA web site:
http://www.isa-arbor.com/
Guy S.
You could also try posting on the Northeast regional forum, possibly someone who lives near you will have some experiences to share.
http://davesgarden.com/forums/f/region_ne/all/
And it's absolutely fine to post here asking for recommendations on what companies/people to buy from or hire--what's forbidden (except on the classifieds forum) is to offer your own stuff/services. So if there's someone on this forum who is an arborist, they wouldn't be allowed to post and give a link to their website, for example.
Thanks for the advice and info.
The ISA site had some good leads, as did ASCA for consulting arborists.
Will post to NE forum soon.
thanks again,
limnaia
