Best place to purchase japanese MG, or double blue picotee?

Cincinnati, OH

I wondered if you all could guide me in the right direction. I am looking to expand my collection, and would like to purchase some seeds of japanese MG's and double picotee, blue. I have looked at a lot of places, but would like your opinions on quality of seed, germination percentages, etc. I know you will point me in the right direction. I just got a few seeds from Baker heirloom seeds......early call mix, rose feather, and flying saucers. My neighbor, who is half japanese, grew some on her fence, and has allowed me to collect some of her seeds, but hers are quite typical, as well......Milky way, kniola black, solid white, solid fuschia, the biggest blue (medium) i have ever seen. She said that they were quite expensive, and did not even come up the first year she put them out. I really would like to surprise her for Christmas and get her some that are beautiful and from her culture, for being the great neighbor that she is. Please guide me~~I need help.....I want to do this right, for both of us.

Kelly,

I have plenty of double picotee blue seeds, as well as Hatsu Arashi and Akatsumi no Umi, and Scarlet O'Hara. Just send me a SASBE, and they'll be on the way!

WOW, That is so nice of you, I really appreciate it. That truly is not what I meant when I started this thread, but I would be a fool to say no. LOL

Are you in the exchange?

Dover, NJ

Hi Kelley,

Yes, I'm in the exchange. And I have a LOT of seeds from this summer's harvest! I may have trouble giving them away! I haven't gotten around to listing them in my trade page, but they are bagged up and ready to go. Just D-mail me if you need any more info.

And I forgot to mention that I have had good luck getting MG seeds on Ebay. That is the only place I have ordered them from.

I have been looking there as well, I am just a nervous seed purchaser from there. I have bought from Lonnies Bulk Seeds, and been pleased, though.

Hey Mark,
Sorry to butt in on your thread Kelley, but I've been looking for a blue picotee also. Would you like to trade for some pale pink morning glories? I don't know what the cultivar or species is but they are fast growing vines with medium to smallish flowers, pale pink with a darker pink star.
Thanks,

Wow, would love to see a picture of those blue ones. Any idea of their name?
I have plenty of Shibouri JMG that I would be happy to share with you.
Send a sasbe and they'll be on their way
