Is this what s called a double? Have 2 other ones and they don't look like this.
Doubles
Love the color! Can't really see the separate petals and you have a good sense of composition. Buuuuuttttt........notice the leaves in the back are in focus? .. retake the picture, but back up a bit!
When I take closeups of flowers I always take 3. The first one with the lens about 2 inches away from the subject then back up an inch and take another and back up another inch and take another picture. Another trick is to get about 3 feet from it and use your zoom.

Portagee, did you see Ron's post on doubles on September 18, 2006 at 10:04 pm at the following thread: http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/642051/ ? I wonder what the earliest flowering double MG would be? It doesn't look like any seeds on mine will ripen before frost grrr.
portagee25 - The flower you posted above does look like it has more than the usual 5 petals...I can see the 5 primary fold rays and what looks like 2 extra petals on the lower portion of the bloom...
Are you able to post any of the other blooms from this plant for a comparison(?)...
Thanks(!)...
TTY,...
Ron
