I saw a few photos of these growing together...my question: do they strangle eachother??

My neighbor has both growing along the side of her porch. Both are such strong growers that she is trying to get rid of the grape vine and cut it back to the ground a couple times this year. The morning glory looks better than normal by it's self I think, but they did OK together. Early in the year, the grape vine always looked like it was winning the battle and later in summer and fall, the morning glory would take over. I rather enjoyed watching the battle each year. Just be sure you have a lot of room and something strong for them to grow on.

basicly the grapes grow inside the MG's and I haven't seen either one choke the other off.
