Too many begonias

Me too!

Well, the begonia dig wasn't as big this year. Just 6 plants but the price was dropped to $1 per. I did replace diadema that I lost earlier this year plus picked up 'Nautilus', 'Passing Storm', a begonia passed off as 'Cowardly Lion' but isn't hairy and the leaves are more round and smaller than what I think it should be, 'Georgia Tasker' but I wonder about that name, and U309 since the one I already have is quite small.

The good news is I got almost every issue of The Begonian since 1972. There is one year missing and a few issues from another year but other than that, they look pretty good.

At $1 each, you still made a haul. Looks like you have enough reading material to keep you busy this winter :-)

I agree, you still made a haul. Post some pictures of the new ones when you can.

I potted them up but washed the garden soil off so they're in a little bit of shock. Here are some pictures of the dig.

Here is 'Nautilus'.

'Lalomie' in our hosts' house. She grew me one since I commented on how well hers looked back in June.

One of their terrarium plants. Is this 400 or something else?

This is 'Red Face' which wasn't available, but I did ask pretty please to start me one. So now they have a couple of leaves in water for me and I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

The plants just didn't look as good this year as last, but I still wouldn't turn anything down. There were 14 members there this year where last year there were 10. I will have to take my wife next year so I can double up, ha ha.

This is what I brought home last year (a month after the dig - special invite). I dug up over 40 plants the 3rd weekend in October. Very generous people.

I love the Nautilus, and Red Face is fantastic - I'll keep my fingers crossed for you, too :-)

Hi Cass, Good to see you.

Well, I must be feeding this one the Super Food because it is already 6' and shows no sign of stopping. It's lovely. Just re-read...they both get 6'. Oh my.....it may be moving time.!!!

Thanks for the info.

Also, I have acquired a couple of things you probably will be interested in. Hope to see you soon.
