I've been watching 2 Yellow & Black Argiope spider egg sacks for a couple of weeks.
A few days ago I noticed one had small holes in it. Yesterday I saw a couple of these little wasp like flies milling around.
What are they? I suspect they are eating the little spiders.
You can see one of the holes near the top.

CLOSED: Small wasp on spider egg sack
The fine folks at BugGuide.net ID-ed this one as a parasitic Ichneumon Wasp.
My little spiderlings are doomed.

I would have said braconid, with the same results... So sorry. I love the Y&B Argiopes!
CJ, I have a second egg sack that is OK, so far.
