Here is my opinion! I've learned a couple things from this forum...but have very incomplete knowledge! I'm anxious to know what it is also!

It is not Ipomoea hederacea because of the sepals....: http://davesgarden.com/forums/fp.php?pid=2739544 I. hederacea has pointed, hairy sepals that recurve away from the corolla.

I don't know, but my guess would be that it may not even be an Ipomoea, something doesn't look right in the pistil / stamen complex seen here: http://davesgarden.com/forums/fp.php?pid=2739548

I'm sure Ron will know immediately when he has a chance to view this thread!

It's a pretty flower no matter what its name is.
I like the pink hue at the edges.
I'm sure someone will come along that can shed some light on the subject.
Thanks,

Since I`m just learning I`ll say It favors bindweed and it does look pretty.

Westmoreland, TN(Zone 7a)

that's what mom calls it.
I have bind weed in one of my beds and have to fight it to keep it from strangling everything to death,...but this one doesn't do like that one it tends to sprawl on the ground and didn't try to climb.

I'm so glad i found DG,...all the people that lend a helping hand with info is great.
I know someone will come along that knows just what it is for sure.

Robbie - The plant you have is
Calystegia sepium

Calystegia sepium can have twining climbing stems and non-twining runners on the same plant...the runners function is to traverse horizontally and take root wherever it can...

arlen - sharp eyes there...many of the Calystegia flowers are thrums...
bi-lobed stigma of Calystegia

Thank You Ron.

Not many have nice things to say about this plant.
It didn't do bad here it stayed in one spot and it only got about
3' x 3' but that spot just wont grow anything much.
The last owner poured old oil at the sides of the ditches and all around the the house and out buildings.
And nothing i have planted in those spots has lived for long.

Mom said pull that stuff up before it gets a true hold.
The stuff in my flower bed is one i wish i could get rid of but this one just isn't as bad in my yard as the other but I'd better listen to mom she always knows best.

Thank You all for your help,
Ron you are most certainly,... " The Man "

I think the Calystegia sepium or hedge bindweed is pretty myself. I have always loved wildflowers ever since I was a kid.I would bring in handfuls only to be be told,"Those are weeds." :)

Westmoreland, TN(Zone 7a)

yep yep that's what mom and granny use to tell me.
But i think some weeds are very pretty, although i don't want it to be true to its nature so i will try and get it out of here.
Thank Goodness it's at the back entrance of the property.
No one ever sees that part unless they are trespassing but its posted so i never have any worries.
