Hello All! I live in NW Arkansas, and I was sitting in the car pool line at my children’s' school today when this strange little brown fuzzy fly landed on my car window seal. At first I thought "just another fly", but after looking again, I saw that it was fuzzy! Not that I've really ever study flies, but I don't think I've ever heard of them being "fuzzy". I found the postings and photos on your forum about the black fuzzy fly that is believed to have been blown to NA from Mexico, but the little guy I saw today wasn't that big and his fuzz was brown, not black. Does anyone have a guess what kind of fly he was? Could it be that he was a baby form of the larger black fly?

Don't have an ID, but in answer to your baby question - no, the baby form of any fly is a maggot.
