CLOSED: Are these hornworms the same?

Brooksville, FL(Zone 9a)

I found these two hornworms in my morning glories - not sure why they're there. One is green with brown markings, one is brown with light and dark brown markings. Are these two the same species and in different stages of life or had different diets to make them different colors or are they actually different species?

Can you tell me what species they are?

It looks like the five-spotted hawk moth- try this link

it does look very similar, but the photos on that site for the five spotted hawk moth have a very distinctive "V" in the lighter color on them, these don't seem to have that marking, so I wonder if they are a different species. I'll look around on that site, though - maybe I can find another one that's similar - or maybe they are the 5 spotted and that's just a regional variation in the markings . . .

It's nice to find out that they are probably the same species, I didn't know they had a 'dark phase'.

looks like the Tomato Hornworm/5 Spotted Hawk Moth to me too
