Pull it or Prune it?

Grand Haven, MI(Zone 5a)

I *think* I planted this, but I don't know what it is. Perhaps it's a weed tree? I need to either move it to a better spot, or weed it out. Anyone recognize it? It is tree like and I've never seen a bloom, but as you can see the bugs love it.

Looks like some sort of willow, probably one of the large shrub size ones (likely mature size 5-10m tall).

Thankyou! That gives me a place to start searching for a name. :-)

It looks like a hybred willow. If it is it will grow to 10 feet in one year. One popped up in my yard after we had to clear the yard for a new septic system. We had to take down about a dozen trees - many of them were 50' or more. My husband said the side yard looked like a bowling alley. It was awful! We've let the tree grow 2 years now. They do not flower and continue to grow at 10' per year. We are leaving it till some of the newly planted arborvitae grow for privacey.

The leaves are about an inch wide and 2 inches widw. I thought willow had very narrow lance shaped leaves.

All different kinds of willows. Your pic looks pretty normal for many of the willow species.

I've never found one that had me doing handstands.

Pussy willows are okay when they buds are out, but I'm not fond of them.

On a naturally maintained property, I'll leave the healthy ones in the woodsy areas.
