I will be travelling down from Ukiah to Lodi this Saturday, and will have some time in the afternoon. Anybody know of good nurseries in the area I might visit? Or public gardens/farmers markets with plant? Thanks for the help.
Lodi nurseries or public gardens?
Hi
I love th Acampo Nursery. It is on Curry off of HWY 12 Kettleman lane. It is east on Kettleman to Curry turn left.
Hi Nanarose,
Thanks so much for the recommendation. I am totally out of my element down there, and this really helps.
Cheers,
Mendo
Truth is, I live in Lodi and have yet to find a decent nursery around here. Never been to the Acampo Nursery, so I can't say. We usually travel to the Alden Lane Nursery in Livermore for our plants because the selection here is so limited. Good luck.
There are some botanical type gardens in Micke Grove Regional Park, 11793 North Micke Grove Road, Lodi:
K.O. Hester Camellia Garden
Micke Grove Japanese Gardens
Micke Memorial Rose Garden
I've never been here, but it sounds interesting. There's also a zoo at the same location. Here's the "Visit Lodi" website: http://www.visitlodi.com/
