Your opinion needed on palm / tropical nursery...

My bro lives in Huntington Beach, CA and needs some palms & bananas.

What's the best palm / banana nursery in that general area (714/909)?

Don't know of any right around there, but if he's willing to drive south into the 619 area code, there are a LOT of great nurseries! It's only 1 hour drive south from H Beach.

Let me think on it alittle. There is a private nursery on Newland, off of Edinger. I used to go there to get my tropicals. It is run by a Japanese family and they are so nice and friendly. He could also check Silver Creek Nursery in Irvine. They carry a lot of landscape plants, so palms and bananas might be there also.

I'll check out the name of that nursery and get back to you.

They have a huge selection from 3 -gallon to tractor trailer size plants. I also recommend getting bananas on ebay. I have bought several from a seller called wellspring100. Excellent selection, great price, healthy plants. Bananas, if cared for properly, grow fast and 4" potted bananas should be full sized in 1 year.
