This is my neigbors, he does nothing to them. Acidic soil, full sun. Just started to flower again last week. These are about 5 ft tall BTW.

I thought Gardenias would toast in the Carolina sun -- ? We even keep them in the shade way up here in Illinois (in pots, moved indoors in winter).

Lovely! I wonder what variety they are. I planted 6 August Beauties mid to late June of this year, little one gallon babies, and all but one of them are either blooming now or full of buds. They get a lot of sun and seem to be quite happy. I hope they get 4-5', too, so their heavenly fragrance will float along about the right height when I'm sittin' on my deck!
