It's rained off and on for the last two weeks and my MG's are looking much better etc for some bug damage.

Wow,what a lovely combo. Did you doctor them any to help them or was it that they needed rain...I mean watering helps but nothing like the rain. :)
Didn't do anything, it was just a matter of getting some rain. I'm thinking the grapes will be really sweet this year.
