don't touch it as it stings very badly

Yep, that looks just like the little fella. Thanks very much.

BTW, do we have any pics of the moth it will become?

thanks, DonnaB.

I read the horror stories in bug files at the link GardenGuyKin provided. I will definitely stay away from it and try to remember to wear gloves when gardening.

What on earth, have you 'attracted' to the yard .. now, scut !?! .. heehee ..
(still, merely luvinly teasin' you, scut)

Quite a remarkable, but 'ouchy' beauty, as a caterpillar .. however, they don't appear to be anything spectacularly 'fetchin' .. as a moth. (lol) > http://mothphotographersgroup.msstate.edu/Files/Live/Species/4000/4700.shtml

Thank you, Magpye. Now I can see why it is so hard to find a photo of the moth; quite an anti-climactic ending for such an attention seeking cat.

To me it looks like a cute, little, furry teddy bear wearing a bright, lime green T-shirt with a big hole in the back. But I understand that cute or not it has a nasty temperment.

You helped to 'nail' a perfect description for this lil varmint, scut !! .. LOL
