Initially I thought this to be a Red Saddlebacks female, since I saw this one doing something with a Red Saddlebacks male that resembled flirting. ???? I'm still learning about these guys . . . lol
They were both perched on the same small tree - each on different little branches, see image 2. Then this one approached the Red Saddlebacks male from behind and they touched tails together. I thought they were about to do some sort of mating and was about to switch my camera from Macro to Action . . . lol
However that action was only brief and this one landed back on it's original branch and they both just sat there for a long time. So I finally moved closer and got a few close ups.
Once I got them on the PC, I looked closer and compared the images with this one to the female Red Saddlebacks and it don't match. So the search began and the male Calico Pennant is the one it appears to be, to me.
Anyone agree?
