A picture that doesn't belong here

Cincinnati, OH(Zone 6b)

This annual vine which I cannot remember the name of always reseeds itself and covers my Chamaecypris pisifera "Gold Dust" each year. This thing is a beauty. Just thought I'd share it.

And here's another errant photo. I always grow a little fennel because these guys always show up. I once knew their name too, but I cannot remember it either.

And, darnit, here's one more misfit. This is a hibiscus (yeah, an herbaceous one) that a friend gave me that was given to her from a seed expedition from Siberia. It just bloomed for the first time yesterday.

I'll try to come up with the specific name.

I believe the caterpillar is that of a black swallowtail butterfly which feeds on plants in the carrot family.

The red is Cardinal climber, Ipomea something. Hummingbird really do like it, as do I.

Illinois, IL(Zone 5b)

Hey, they all belong here. Trees, shrubs, and their associates all should be invited to participate IMHO, as long as you have good pics. Edie plants fennel (and dill) for the same reason, BTW.

Scott, here's the link for your vine http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/662/index.html. IMHO much nicer than other members of the Ipomoea family - brilliant color and attractive foliage.
