Hey Root, I lived in Huntsville for a year. I really loved it there. I have xanthosoma sagit., black magic taro, plumeria, hibiscus, canna, brugs, colocasia, bananas, gingers. Just let me know when you want it and I will start packing it up.
Mi,or Ala. was not much to choose from out of all states..You have a wonderful yard very nice house. sorry the circumstances though..I don't have nothing really sorry everything lost, heat or?. i do have 2 or 3 house plants..Best of luck ..

rylaff,I can see how you liked it here,pretty nice town really,I would be glad to have anything you would care to share,do it at your leasure,keep me in mind if you divide something.
Twyla,I have a small piece of land in Mi.I would really like to be there,but had to go where the work is,where I am from in Mi.,they roll up the sidewalks after this weekend.
Linda,my plans are not to rush it really,I will spend this fall and winter working the soil in this bed,then I am sure it will be tropical.I am probably going to bring a bobcat home from work to get a good start on it.

I would offer to send you some plants, but I've been fighting mealy bugs all year and I'm not sure you'd appreciate me sharing them with you! LOL Hopefully I'll have them under control and can send you some next spring!

RD...so what are your plans for the front that you have just cleared out???? No way am I going to send you boxes of stuff until you are READY...don't want you dealing with stuff anymore than you have to. So, what are the ideas? Plans? Wishes? Dreams? Looks like a lot of lawn..... you gonna dig that up and make beds? Start with the front near the house where the heat radiates? What direction are you facing? Got any nice warm niches where you can winter over some tropicals. Wild to see EEs there in front...and a musa. WOW.

Well its warmer there so won't be so cold.. You can grow more there.. its nice you have found home there to.. and work.. Best of luck.. It will all come together.. i do have brug seeds.. yucca roots and small starts.. (from Georgia off a huge one brought back 18 yrs ago..)

I too moved there first after a divorce.. back in the 70's.. as the single parent then it was so nice to have mothers help..

I'll also allert mother to get a few things together for you... I'll give you a shout when I'm by there again... but untill then ... we'll get some stuff out to you..

Well.. when I was at mothers...she's out on thecorner of Thach and 251 [Old 31 ] just over in
to Limetone Co. McKee or Ready Section off Rt 53 then west.. I'd worked through the 100*F+ days there... pruning the rampant growth...got a pile of stuff to burn... I draged it to the pile..

I taked to mother today..drop in on her anytime....you're cleared to have cuttings or whatever you find there you might like...she's there most anytime.. you have the address intersection... Thach and 251.. you'll know thach..as it has theroutesign..directing you to use it to go to I-65
just lookfor the brush pile I posted the picture of.. hers in the brown house ..Full green house across the front of it...way off the road behind the brush pile.. the first house on Thach..off the corner with the barn on it.. theNW corner.. if you need a coccer spaniel... [ or a Bengal cat] she's the breeder to talk to.. Gordon

he ripped me off on postage for some brugs I sent in November and flew the coop!!!!
Maybe something bad happened to him, like he got sick or something.
kept saying he was going to send it, then he lost my addy, then was going to send again and then nothing. I sent a big huge box of cuttings to help him start over again after relocating as others did for me. I thought he was my long time friend!!!!!

Having to relocate maybe he is just busy busy trying to get back on his feet.. did not know divorced..takes time . maybe he will pop in explain soon..
