yogiro x Mt fuji

Baton Rouge area, LA(Zone 8b)

The yojiro is the pod parent and Mt fuji is the pollen parent. The picture shows the hybrid flower and leaves in the center to compare with the parents.

How do you spell youjiro? Is it yojiro, youjiro or youziro? I have seen all three if these spellings.

I like it. I will pollinate this one to self and then grow out a bunch to see if I can get a larger picot edge. I might like a picot edge with the variegation if that happens.

How do I correct the Mt Fuji spelled with a g mistake in the thread titles? I will come back and edit any mistakes I can find.

I know it is is a j but I keep on typing a g for some unknown reason. :)

Thanks for the Japanese word writing and pronunciation lesson! If I can practice writing it on paper and saying it over and over it will help. I do not always have time to read over everything to catch errors so please do let me know. I`ll fix the mistakes and eventually learn how to say and spell the Japanese names correctly.

From now on it is yojiro for my favorite little flowers.

Thank you Ron. I`ll do that just for the clarity of information on Daves Garden being correct. I feel responsible for getting it right. :)

This morning was cooler weather. It was Great! There is a crisp freshness to the air this time of year. I have updates on the cross I did.

Here is one taken in more light. It shows how flowers can look different in different light.

Hi Sunny and thanks for the compliment! Here is a picture of a leaf on the yogiro and Mt Fuji cross.

Thanks for the pictures! I have a weakness for the spoked flowers like Yojiro and Mt. Fuji and Yaguruma.

Me too. I call the way the vines puts out flowers only a short time after planting instant gratification. :)

I`m hoping for a larger flower with the pretty edge that was on the pod parent when I grow out the second generation. I`m hoping there could possibly by chance be a few if I grow enough seeds to increase the chances.
