Sweetie.....these are on me.....just give me your address.
I honestly need to go through my box this year and do something with the ones I already have but I truly appreciate your offer.
You can D-Mail me your address and I will gather the seed tomorrow. They will need to dry so I would say I will put them in the mail to you on Saturday or Monday OK Luvy?

Be sure to check this thread tomorrow to get a picture of the beautiful fall foliage of these OK?

Kim,

As I'm sure you noticed, the balloon-flower foliage is beautiful, too. We have a lot, like 25 or 30, youngish plants, so they're sort of spread out. We dead-head them casually when we're on the path, but not religiously. Didn't get a chance to cut down the stalks which have now turned a beautiful purple-red! So we still have our border.

Good Morning Carrie...you're up early *lol* I stayed up until midnight to bid on a Garden Fairy and won! But I am so tired this morning.

Yes, the foliage on the balloon plant is very pretty. I usually cut them down after I gather the seeds. I am very bad about being "perfect" and everything being "just so" which I told myself I wasn't going to do this year. I cut things down before letting them seed but this year I left them a little bit longer and I'm glad because I got to see some of their fall foliage better. I like the garden to be "clean" before the snow flies for some reason.

My Penstemon has beautiful foliage also and it is still blooming so I left it there. I'm hoping the sun comes out a little today so I can get a good shot of it. Right now it's raining and very dark here in Maine.

Your balloon plants look beautiful (and so are you by the way). I hope to do better with the camera next summer. This summer was just so hard on me with so much going on here. Hopefully next summer will be a little more "normal".

I'm really starting to get into my houseplants again since the garden is getting so dismal. I have a firfern in bloom right now and it is simply beautiful! Here is a picture of the flower. I'm hoping to get a better "overall" shot today sometime.

What is a firferm when it's at home? I like its foliage too. Funny, I never used to notice the foliage, let alone care about it. But since I've been coming to DG at all hours of the night and day, I've started to notice heucheras, hostas, even. I have some (still in plastic from HD) and others that are planted, and I have 2 more that are planted in pots. I actually have way too much in pots, waiting for the right moment to plant somewhere. And thanks for the compliment. There's a better pic of the balloon border - my crazy DH came home from HD (he went for sandpaper or something) with 20 of these pots labelled 'platycodon BLUE'. (He knows I like blue.) None of them were in flower. He had just finished making the path from the driveway through the yard. He thought, seeing as how they were only $2.94 each, these 'platycodons' might make a nice border for the new walkway. While he was out planting them, I was reading all about them on DG. "Sweetie, these don't bloom until July. We have to plant something else that will bloom in the spring!" Back to Plantfiles; I came up with forget-me-nots, which bloom with the daffodils. There's another wondeful picture that I need to find - what a spectacular combination! Well, if I find them, you'll be the first to know.

I don't know what you look like, Kim, but you are beautiful inside!

xxxxx, Carrie
