I have a whole collection of Balloon Plants which I will have seeds from each to share.
I am looking for the Double Lavender Balloon plant seeds or Axminster (mine didn't make it) or anything that I don't have which is unique/rare.
I will have seeds from:
Dwarf Blue
Single Blue
Double Blue
Shell Pink
Dwarf White (HUGE flowers)
These are easy to grow from seed and bloom for a long time in the garden. If you don't currently grow them, you are really missing out on a garden jewel of a plant.
Attached is a picture of my Double Blue.

WILL HAVE SOON: Balloon (Platycodon) Plant Collection
I would love a poppy surprise package as my Poppies didn't seem to do well this year at all.
I will be happy to make you up a package of the 3 colors you would like. How many seeds of each color would you like?
Please be sure to put a note in your envelope that these are for Balloon seeds and for what colors/types you want OK? I'm going to try to keep everything organized but with a new house and new job...lately my head hasn't been too straight *lol*
I would say another week in the pod and I should be able to harvest them. I would like to leave them in the pod for as long as possible for best germination. Maine is farther behind than the rest of you so just know that I WILL send the seeds.
My first Hibiscus opened today whereas most people are harvesting seeds from theirs so plese be patient.
Kim
i would love some white, what are you looking for, I have bunches and bunches of all different kinds of seeds, if I know what you want I might just have it......krista
Kim, you have d-mail
Krista,
I'm not really looking for anything in particular.
Something easy to grow from seed that is unique is wonderful. If you have any double click Cosmo's or Seashell Cosmo's, mine didn't do so well this year so I would love to replace them.
Let me know OK?
Just surprise me.
Kim
Kim,
I would love to have a few seeds of each one if you can spare some. I have one balloon flower that has single blue flowers but am not sure of it's name. I saved some seed from it as well.
I have tons of seed so if you give me an idea of what you are looking for maybe I will have something you want.
Please dmail me.
Jane

I will D-mail each of you the day that I mail your seeds (once your envelope has been received).

I would also like to have some of each variety is you have some left to share. I have a blue that I just love! I can do sase or trade. LMK
JanetS
Heya, Kim! I haven't run into you for a while here... hope you're having a fabulous summer!
I'd love to trade for your balloon flower seeds, whatever colors you may have left (especially that scrumptious sounding big white one)... I'm sure I can find some good seeds in my stash for you, and I'll be collecting various seeds around the garden soon (hopefully including several varieties of basil if that flips your switch).
Kim,
If you end up with a few large white and/or double blue seeds I'd love to try them. I have quite a variety of seeds to trade...but no balloon flowers. Are you looking for anything else in particular?
Thanks,
Deb
OK, once again I think I'm keeping up with all the requests for far :) If I haven't e-mailed you, please do let me know.
For those that are requesting the white, you will note that when some of them bloom they tend to have light purple streaks/dots etc which makes them even more unique. I have never seen or heard of a dwarf white nor one with as large of flowers that mine has with random blooms with purple "splotches". Not every single flower will have splotches and not every stem I had created flowers with splotches so I'm sure I must have had some kind of cross pollination over the years or something but they were just outstanding and I'm sure you will all love them. Be sure to put them IN FRONT of your larger perennials as they are dwarfs :)
Kim
IF I promised you seed from these, please let me know whether or not you have received your envelopes. I received 1 back in the mail with no address so I'm assuming that the address label fell off and I can't for the life of me figure out which one of you it belongs to.
A couple people were waiting for more of the white to be ready and I'm assuming it's these. In the envelope were all the varieties except the pink.
Please let me know if this envelope could possibly be yours.
Thank you so much,
Kim
Hi kim,
I am not chasing seed off it, After reading post and seeing how you share, I am wondering if you would like some seeds off platycodon splash, it is a blue and white variegated flowered one.
Cheers Annette
OMG, I would LOVE some Annette!
What can I offer you in trade?
I have a box FULL of seed so if there is something you are looking for, please let me know OK?
Thank you so much for the offer...I LOVE Platycodon so much and hope to have them all in my collection someday to keep sharing with others.
Kim
Hi Kim,
You dont have to offer me anything, I was reading post and saw how much you loved them, I done a trade a couple off months ago and someone sent me these seeds as a BONUS with a pic, it is gorgeous, I sowed a few seeds and they germinated so now they are just sitting there, may as well be making someone happy:)
When I send the seeds I will also send the photo that was sent to me, Kim you will Drool, it is the most beautiful blue and white flowers.
They will be going to a happy home, I am a Salvia gal that is my addiction.
Cheers Annette
p.s.
I need your address:)
Annette,
I can't tell you how tickled I am! I will winter sow them so maybe next fall I will have some seeds to share and make someone as happy as you have made me!
My address is:
Kim Jacobsen

Wish I had some salvia to offer you but I know that is one thing I don't have (other than I think the blue one which is common) and I didn't get them to sprout last year :(
Thank you again so very much! I will send you the postage back OK?
Kim
Hi Kim,
I will post them off today for you, I have also got some of the platycodon fuji blue, i will send some off them as well. I am not too sure if it is different to the normal one, there is only one way to find out sow and see lol.
Dont be silly, you dont have to worry about the postage, just enjoy the seeds:)
Annette
Oh I will, I will and I thank you from the bottom of my heart!
This birthday day couldn't get ANY better!
Kim
Is it your Birthday?
Happy Birthday,
I also remembered I had some seeds sent from South America which I recall may be different as well, i will enclose them as well.
I just know the seeds are going to be in good hands as you are a sharer, after all that is what gardening is all about.
Expect in a week:)
Many Happy Returns.
Thank you so much for the birthday wishes.
Yes...37 today (as old as dirt my son would say).
They will be in great hands and I hope to get them to grow!
I will share with everyone I possibly can and will always cherish your generosity for sharing them with me from down under. They will be VERY SPECIAL in my garden.
Thank you so much!
Kim
Good on ya,
You will catch up to me I am 38 haha, nah you wont, you will always be one year behind,I have just sorted the seeds, I think there should be plenty about 30 fuji blue, 40 + off the splash, and 50 + off the one from Argentina, I do remember the lady saying something about the Argentian ones about it being different, I havent sown them yet, I have a feeling that they were blue and white flowered as well.
I know you are going to love them all and they will germinate for you, Out off all those seeds you should get good germination rates;)
Lmk when they arrive:)
Thank You SO MUCH Annette! I will be sure to D-Mail you when they arrive and will be happy to send you the postage (wish I had something else to send you that you wanted) in return OK? At least let me do that OK? I am going to look up Argentina Platycodon and see if anything come up in Google.
I'm hoping to winter sow 1/2 and direct sow the other 1/2 just to be sure to get some babies!
Wow am I the luckiest girl in the world today :)
Thank you again, I can't tell you how tickled I am!
Kim
I can read how tickled you are, postage is nothing, I have heaps off stamps, it is under $2 aust.
Good luck in collecting more, if I get any different ones, I will also forward them on to you.
Do you have the pink one?
I have very few of the pink and shared all the seeds from this year but next year I promise to keep a few seeds for myself *lol*. I only have a couple plants of it so didn't have as many seeds to share as I would have liked. I like to send everyone some of everything *lol*
Is there anything you are looking for Annette? I would really like to share with you....something?
Kim
Mike,
Thank you so much!
Did you see the note above that your envelope is going out tomorrow? Thank you for sending it so quickly. I hope they do well for you and bring you much joy.
Annette is sharing some seed with me and hopefully I will have some NEW things to offer next year!
Kim
Kim,
I am a happy little salvia gal, and I am also happy sharing seeds, especially to people who are really after something, you cant get any happier than that, trust me.
I have done a lot of trading over winter, I received a lot off flower seeds, and when I read posts where people are chasing, I offer.
I do not want anything in return , I am happy that you are happy, Does that make sense?
Happy Birthday and may you get lots off balloon flowers coming your way, after all what is a birthday without balloons lol:)
AWWWW Annette you are SO SO SWEET! I LOVED your last sentence....brought a tear to my eye.....literally....wiping now. It's people like you that make me stay a member here at Dave's!
I will ALWAYS cherish every bloom from my new seeds and will forever remember how special the person who gave them to me was.
Thank you sincerely my new friend and may God bless you abundantly for your beautiful heart!
Kim
Awwwww Kim,
You are going to make me cry, it is a happy day.My other half saids that to me that I have a beautiful heart too.
God Bless You Too My Friend:)
Sorry to interrupt your love fest {{{Annette and Kim}}} but Kim, do you have any of the enormous dwarf white or shell pink ones left? I have a lot of blue ones. I like their fall color as well as the blue of course! My first grandson (yes, I'm a bit older than you) was born 10-10-2000. It's a good day to be born because he is an amazing kid, and you're almost an amazing grown-up! (Meaning you're amazing but not quite grown up.)
xxxxx, Carrie
AWWWW Carrie, that is so nice of you to say :)
10-10 is a WONDERFUL day to be born! He must be a loving little boy.
I am SO SORRY but all of the dwarf white and pink have been given away. I didn't even keep any for myself *lol*. I didn't have alot of those to offer this year as my plants are still quite young and they seemed to be requested very quickly but next year I hope to have more. I'm going to try to save myself some seed next year and make my collection bigger so that I have more to share.
Wish I had some to send you because I certainly would have but this was posted a while ago followed by a SASBE offer of what I had left.
I DO have some Penstemon Smalli though if you would like some of these. These are STILL in bloom in our 40 degree weather and the foliage is purple from the cold. They have been in bloom for over a month now!
Let me know if you'd like some of these OK?
Kim
Ya know, Ms. Birthday Girl, I'm the one you may have heard of where my entire large seed collection was tossed by an over eager Nurse, I think. So I have a lot of donated seeds right now which I am going to try to WinterSow. Depending on how that goes I'm going to very selectively choose which seeds to WS the following year. So while those are very pretty, I'll say no, thanks.
xxxxxx, Carrie
Oh Kim those are just beautiful blooms :)
Connie
Connie,
I'll snap a shot of the foliage for you tomorrow. It's been VERY COLD here in Maine and it's turned the foliage purple. They are STILL blooming.
If you would like some seed, let me know OK?
Kim
I would love some... Would you like some of my Morning Glory seeds, I finally got some :o)
