my dp has some hearing loss and turns the tv up extra loud when he is home at night. the problem is that we have an open floor plan and i can hear his tv (over mine in the kitchen) and also from every other room in the house. i went on amazon and started doing some research. thanks to feedback from other buyers, i was able to choose the Sennheiser RS-140, which is specifically designed for people with some hearing loss. Sennheiser also makes other models for folks without hearing loss.

this product has truly changed my life. i didn't think i would ever say that about anything! LOL when he comes home, he puts his earphones on and the most i hear out of him is an occasional laugh or comment from whatever he is watching, otherwise it's blessed silence. the clarity is crystal clear, no static whatsoever, plugs in the back of the tv with no hassles and it's just wonderful. he can go to any room in the house and never miss a word of his program.

i was assuming that with technology what it is today, that the headphones would be very small-wrong! i had to laugh hysterically the first time he saw them. in amidst a few choice words, were the words "i'm not wearing those things". that changed the minute he put them on. he loves them......and i love them more!

anyway, they aren't cheap. i think i paid 140 for these, although the other models aren't as expensive. it was worth every penny; i can tell you that!
