Bonfante Gardens - Garden Days - 9/22 & 9/29

Fremont, CA(Zone 9a)

I was going to make my first trip to Bonfante Gardens http://www.bonfantegardens.com/index.html this weekend, but further research showed that they will be open, without rides on Sept 22 & 29, 2006 for just enjoying the gardens and the "Circus Trees," so I have decided to go next month.
From their website

Quoting:
Bonfante Gardens invites you to visit the park without the hustle and bustle of the theme park rides. Guests who are interested in visiting our unique gardens are invited to Bonfante Gardens for an afternoon of fun! This special event is from 11:00am to 5:00pm. Docents will be on hand to talk with you about our wonderful gardens and educational exhibits. Guests are also encouraged to visit our gift shops and restaurants. No rides will be in operation. Tickets are available at the gate for a discounted price of just $15.00 per person. (Tickets must be used on date of purchase).

Did anyone here ever visit the trees when they were in Scotts Valley, either Tree Circus or as Lost World?

I went to Bonfante last year or the year before.. It was a zoo when we went.. It should be nice without all the kids around but I think $15 is still a little steep for what they offer. The conservatory and the circus trees are the best things to see, and they have a pretty nice garden that wraps around a little waterfall. I guess it depends what you like.

I went on the 22nd and thoroughly enjoyed my day. I think there were more volunteer "docents" then there were customers. No parking charge. The train is the only ride running. I have posted several photos at http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/654650/

Cool shots George, thanks for posting them!

Bonfante is great. As we get closer to Christmas, the park opens up for theme rides I think in November.
