This little guy was on some flowers. It has a 'lumpy/spikey' tail.

The clearwing has the wings right, I've seen a hummermoth and it is a lot smaller than that. Sort of like a deerfly, but beelike.
Looks to be a type of Moth Wasp ... altho' not exactly as this one, here > http://bugguide.net/node/view/63373 .. but similar.

I would say it's the Dogwood or Pecan clearwing. Are they seperate or is it one name?
