Can Weigela stand wet feet?

I've bought a 'Wine & Roses' Weigela and want to put it in a spot where the drainage will result in damp, but not soggy, conditions. My Bristol Ruby is in another place (at the cottage) with very dry and sandy soil and LOVES it. Will my W&R be OK with wet feet?
