CLOSED: orange larvae on a milkweed

Anne Arundel,, MD(Zone 7b)

They are about an inch, orange with black dots. They have been there about two weeks, 3 pairs pointy legs, 5 prs suckery legs. Kind of skeletonizing, leaving some veins as opp to eating whole leaves, and leaving silk as they go. Feeding on what I think is a milkweed, but I haven't been able to find it in my book. This plant previously had milkweeed moth caters. Also curious about the ID of this plant which I've seen wild and came wild into my yard. Hope the picture works- my first...

Could this be your critter?

Well, that's at least the closest I've seen. The food plants listed aren't similar. I guess I'm hoping to have another clue that the plant is really some milkweed relative. The adult is kind of pretty. Maybe I'll be lucky and spot one later by the porch light. Thanks for the link.
