I have to prune a branch from a Katsura tree as it's causing crotch stress (to the tree). The branch is only about an inch across. Should I do it now? Wait 'til fall? And if I do it now, should I dress the wound with anything afterwards?
Pruning issue.
You could do it now. Cut carefully to avoid getting into the branch collar or nicking the adjacent branchs, and don't treat the cut with anything.
Guy S.
Thanks
