Very nice flower, Jianhua! It has a wider white margin than most star shaped flowers I have seen. The extra petals are often seen in this type of flower. Very nice, indeed! - Arlan

Love that one, Jianhua! There is so much to remark about it! Thanks for sharing the picture! Are you growing more morning glories?

Glad you like it as I do. Thanks.
And Joseph, aside from this one, there are two other kinds growing in my yarden: one with blue grandflowers which DGer Susan sent to me a few years ago; one is a native whose flowers are tiny but multiple. Now with the coming of cool fall, these morning glories are in their real glory.

Jianhua,

They are all very beautiful, and yes, it is quite a spectacular showing. Every leaf node has a flower or flower bud!

Look at this flower on a vine that came from a seed I obtained from a trade with another Chinese gardener; every flower is velvety red/purple with bright white edge on it. I am really enjoying it.

Gorgeous... I haven't been able to get my Picotee to flower like that with the perfect margins and the inside petals... beautiful
Brittany

The funny thing is these were the first flowers, and as the season progressed, the white band became more narrow. Still really nice to see, however.

Yes, the Picotee is not so bad.
With my further observation, I found
The blooms with their mouths open
Can even last for a whole day!
And also I found
There are few insects invading the plant;
The only one is a kind of grasshopper,
which likes to munch the flowers.
The method I take is
To cure and kill.
Thanks for sharing!
Jianhua
