THEY'RE HERE! YIPPEE!

Three gorgeous new adoptees- not a one has fewer than 7 buds!

Just for comparison- here's a Black Dragon I got late winter/early spring, next to the new guys. Given a full season, and that it's already potted up and sitting higher than the others, I'm thrilled. BD has been fertilized every other week, and has one branch, got the first bloom in June, and it's on maybe its fourth bloom now-

if your black dragon looks like these do, we'd better see pics, because it'll be quite a show!

Got mine today too. Woo Hoo, talk about instant gratification. I did notice that these plants are not as tall as the ones I bought from him last June, but gosh they are healthy. I had a wonderful surprize when I opened the box; my BD just had to go and show me what to expect. It is a bit pale and bedraggled after it's long trip across country but I get that way just driving to the grocery store.

Got mine today also, have it planted and sitting in the GH. I watered it good, and will take a picture of it tomorrow. I am very impressed. I didn't count the buds but there are buds on it.

Worth every penny,

Tess or Ardesia

I tried to add The Touch of the Tropics to Garden Watch Dog so I could give him an excellent rating, but it didn't go, guess I don't know what I am doing. Could one of you do that and let me know and I can go in and rate him.

Alice is ahead of us on that one! http://davesgarden.com/gwd/c/4292/

He's in there, with only 2 reviews, one of them ardesia's...

Thanks a bunch Tess, he now has 4 reviews. I sent David an e-mail asking if he was going to list any more Hibiscus on Ebay and in the note I told him that I belonged to DG and he was getting some great reviews here. Wouldn't it be great if he joined up.

OMG I just ordered another hibiscus from David, ACADIA SPRING Tropical HIBISCUS PLANT Huge 9" FLOWERS.

Tess you brought out the monster in me. My Black Dragon is on it's 4th bloom. The first two came at the same time and the last two came at separate times. He said they would ship it Tues. so I should get it on Fri. or Sat.

I received my new Hibiscus from A touch of the tropics. It has about 11 buds on it, and one that should be opening up in the next day or two. When it is in full bloom I will take a picture and post it.

My Black Dragon had 3 flowers on it the other day. I had houseguests and between all the cooking and sightseeing I never had a minute to snap a picture. It was awesome tho......

I have been noticing that my black dragon's blooms are lasting longer then a day, about 2 days.

I've noticed Tarantella blooms for two full days. That is a bonus !

Wow, that's great, Alice! I got mine at the begining of the season directly from Dupont, and it wasn't much more than a liner; I've never had more than one bloom at a time- I'm totally spoiled by these bigger plants now...lol

Plus my Black Dragons only bloom for one day , but my Tarentella goes 2, and Sun Showers is great like that.
