CLOSED: Milkweed Insects

I often see these things on my milkweed plants. Anyone know what they are called?

Image is a little blurry, but I believe you have the larval stage of a syrphid fly (aka hover fly).

You're welcome. I love to see them around. There are green ones, and yellow ones too - different species of hover flies. When they pupate, they form a tear drop shaped case. Watch for those on your plant.
