I've seen both seedling and mature foliage on Acacias and seen how it changes and then I noticed this Acacia rubida I grew from seed 2 years ago with both Albizia-like juvenile foliage and the new "mature" foliage on the same plant. I thought it was kinda cool. My dog, "Goofball", for size comparison.
Acacia foliage change
That's a great once-in-a-lifetime transition shot. And Goofball looks a lot like one of our own dogs. But where's the blue truck???
Guy S.
It almost looks as if Goofball is zeroing in on the foliage transition. Is that a Rhodesian Ridgeback?
I've seen that too--there was a park near my old house where there was some sort of Acacia (not sure which one) and it had a number of seedlings growing up around it and many of them had both types of foliage on them--very cool!
Yes, Goofball is a Ridgeback. He was thinking, "food, food, food..." and I'm not allowed to drive the truck in the backyard of my friend.
I've seen a few Acacia sorta change throught the plant but not new growth ontop of previous years juvenile foliage. I almost like the juvenile foliage more.
