Check out this Douglas Fir that produces Fuzzy Kiwi. Must have been over 40+' high on the trunk
Douglas Fir with fruit
Looks like it's in the process of totally overtopping the fir. I know firs are a dime a dozen out your way, but do you plan to try to save the tree?

Guy, this is at the University of British Columbia Botanical Gardens. They planted a number of Fuzzy Kiwi a long time ago and they've all grown so high up the old-growth Douglas Fir and Cedar. The Fir doesn't need saving but I thought it was a neat pic.
Yeah, it's eye-opening! You could have a lotta fun with some neophyte botany students . . .
