CLOSED: These critters are devouring my plants

Milton, VT(Zone 4a)

Does anybody know what these bugs are? They are about the size and shape of Japanese beatles, they seem to hide in the soil during the day and come out at night to devour plants, in particular Asters, flame grass, strawberry leaves, maybe lettus too.

Thanks

Lilioceris lilii?

It does look like the lily beetle lilioceris lilii. Here is website that gives some good info.

The picture I took may be a bit misleading as the tungsten light cast an orange shadow on the pic. the beaatle is more towards the brown side and does not have the tentacles that the lilioceris lilii pictured in the link above.

Doesn't look thin enough for my lily beetles who I now know all too well. It looks like a June bug to me.

The June bug seems to fit the bill here. It seems odd though as I have applied 2 seasons
worth of "Milky Spore" and even an application of Grub-X to the lawn. Despite this I was still finding grubs in the soil and now the leaf munching June Bugs.

Milky spore takes more than a couple of years to innoculate the soil completely. I think it only affects Japanese beetles, not June bugs, but I could be wrong.
